A portfolio that explains design decisions

When seeking a graphic design job abroad, select a few clearly presented projects rather than a gallery without context. Describe the original brief, audience, constraints and your contribution, then show how typography, composition and colour support the message; distinguish personal work from team projects and publish only material you are authorised to share.

Prepare for feedback and file delivery

A position may focus on brand identity, publishing, digital assets or campaign production. Check software, delivery formats, feedback language and the number of stakeholders; for freelance assignments, also define approval stages, included revisions and usage rights, since a technically sound final file does not by itself settle the terms of collaboration with a client.
