Show the gardens you helped create

When seeking a gardening or landscaping job abroad, assemble a project portfolio explaining your own contribution to planting, maintenance or construction. Support photographs with descriptions of the tools you use, how you organise outdoor work and the constraints you faced, rather than showing only an attractive finished garden produced by an entire team.

Prepare for unfamiliar growing conditions

Climate, plant varieties and maintenance practices can change the day-to-day work considerably. Ask the recruiter about equipment training, travel between sites and duties outside busy periods, then check any credentials needed to drive, handle particular products or operate machinery in the destination, without assuming that every qualification automatically transfers between countries.
