Make your experience readable to Colombian employers

Describe your experience in a hoja de vida tailored to the advertisement, with clear responsibilities, dates and achievements. The Servicio Público de Empleo provides access to job-search and guidance services; use them to refine your target area and occupations. Before sending supporting documents, check the recruiter's identity and the consistency between the advertisement, organisation and proposed role.

Clarify the framework for recruiting a foreign applicant

Ask the organisation which documents it expects and which legal entity would sign the contract. Then consult the Ministry of Labour for information concerning foreign workers and the Cancillería for the relevant visa route. Procedures need to be assessed against your actual circumstances; submitting an application should never be presented as already having permission to work in Colombia.
