Read the whole cycle beyond the working days

A rotation alternates time on site and periods away from the assignment, with travel potentially changing the time actually available. Clarify the departure point covered, transfers, travel days and possible schedule changes; the advertised cycle needs to be understood as a whole before two offers can be meaningfully compared.

Check living conditions and support at the site

Ask the employer about accommodation, meals, communication, equipment and access to assistance at the remote location. Examine the preparation required for the tasks and emergency procedures as well; the decision should include shared living, recovery time and the effect of repeated absences on your personal commitments.
