Define your electrical specialism

An electrician should explain whether their main experience lies in buildings, industry, automation or maintenance. Describe familiar equipment, schematic reading and your part in testing without claiming work you have not performed. This clarity helps an overseas employer compare your background with the methods and responsibilities attached to the position.

Arrange recognition before undertaking work

Technical rules and authorisations do not transfer automatically between countries. Obtain confirmation of applicable requirements from the employer and competent authority, including any planned training. Examine working conditions, electrical safety procedures and supervision before accepting independent duties, so that your responsibilities remain consistent with the permissions actually granted.
